dolbom ("we", "us", "our") provides a WiFi sensor-based care service that detects posture and activity status of elderly family members without using cameras or microphones. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
2. What We Collect
Account Information
Name, email address, and profile information provided through OAuth sign-in (Google, Apple, or region-specific providers).
Sensor Data
Posture status (standing, sitting, lying down) and activity level (active, inactive). This data is processed locally on the sensor device. Only processed status information is transmitted to the caregiver app.
We do not collect heart rate, breathing rate, or any biometric data. No camera, microphone, or video data is collected at any point.
Device Information
Device identifiers, operating system version, app version, and push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging or Apple Push Notification Service).
Usage Data
App interaction logs, feature usage patterns, and error reports.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Providing posture and activity monitoring service
- Sending alerts to caregivers when anomalies are detected
- Facilitating family sharing features
- Enabling emergency connection (119/911/112 depending on region)
- Improving service quality and fixing issues
4. Third-Party Sharing
Family Members (Caregivers)
The elderly person's posture and activity status is shared with authorized family members through the caregiver app. This requires the elderly person's (or their legal representative's) consent.
Service Providers
- Google LLC — OAuth authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
- Apple Inc. — OAuth authentication, Apple Push Notification Service
Emergency Services
When the emergency connection feature is activated, your registered address and contact information may be shared with local emergency services.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. Sensor raw data is processed locally on the device and never transmitted to our servers.
6. Data Retention
- Account information: retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Sensor status data: retained for up to 90 days for activity history
- Alert history: retained for up to 1 year
- Usage data: retained for up to 1 year in anonymized form
7. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Not a Medical Device
dolbom is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any condition. The posture and activity data provided is for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.
9. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13. Caregiver accounts require users to be at least 13 years of age.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
